We need more "truth in advertising" ads like that! ;)

JonM 10-27-2011 02:11 AM

thats awesome!! "youve already proven you cant make a decision" lol

fmj 10-27-2011 02:45 AM

Yanno, everyone would be up in arms if someone advertised that they wouldnt teach, say, a white person, black person, christian, Jew, hindu etc.

As much as i do not adhere to any muslim teachings, as an american, i find this ad slightly offensive to my FREEDOM LOVING sensibilities. Last i checked, the first amendment was still in effect..watered down as it may be.

>>Donning fire suit<<

OK, flame away.

Now that the flames have been extinguished...i DO agree with the "Sensible decision" part of it.;)

rigjumpr 10-27-2011 09:10 PM

Ok, no flame throwers here so no worries, but, (I do have access one) Can you explain why or how you find this add offensive? The proprietor is up front with everything.

fmj 10-27-2011 09:24 PM

Simply that he states he isnt going to teach any non christian arab or Muslim. Put the shoe on the other foot so to speak. If someone said they wouldnt teach a Jew, folks would be up in arms. If someone advertised "Dont bother bringing your black ass to me for teaching" there would be fire works.

See what i am saying here...if he doesnt want to teach a muslim or arab, fine. Dont advertise it, if someone shows up that IS "offensive" to him, simply refuse by saying something to the effect of "Sorry, my classes are at capacity." or something suchlike.

Lets just call it my "inner liberal" peeking out to take a look around. ;)

rigjumpr 10-27-2011 09:51 PM

Yes your "inner Liberalism" is coming to the surface. Why cant the proprietor refuse to serve "them?" I can only imagine if the flight schools for the 9/11 pilots had not trained the now infamous pilots what would have been the outcome. speeking to your liberal side, doesn't the shop owner have certain "rights" on his own property to serve or not serve whom he wishes?
