Default Olympics in Sochi

I am hearing all kinds of stuff about the Olympics in Sochi. Such as their stray dog problem, no running water in some of the hotels, water being undrinkable, etc. I am getting concerned for the athletes health and care while they are in Sochi. What has anyone else heard?

Other than that, I am looking forward to watching hockey, curling, biathalon and various skiing and skating events.

If it's anything like the Ukraine there's going to be stray dogs everywhere. However very few of them are problems and most of them are well fed by anyone who wants to share with them. When I was living there I would eat in the park down the street and always shared lunch with a stray that lived in the park. I have pics of the little guy laying beside my table waiting for his lunch. The hotels leave a lot to be desired. You can buy bottled water everywhere. The food was edible and never made me sick.

Here is another news article! You gotta read the article!

Better to bring a tent to Sochi!

If the news folks are experiencing this, what about the visitors (fans) and then the Olympians.

The accommodations are bad for media. As I understand it the actual athletes are quite comfortable and 'cozy'. Id be more worried about the Black widow suicide bombers!!
