In the words of Bugs Bunny- "Aloha- Bon Voyagee- Au reaverderchee- Don't forget to write".

I try to make it a point not to tell someone that I think they are being a doofus. I thank you for giving that committment a sound workout.

I am sorry that this site does not seem to agree with you. We want all of our members to have a chance to fit in, to share information and be part of a group of like minded people.

Perhaps your best chance at this sort of happiness & acceptance can be found somewhere else?

Would you like to have your account closed/deleted?

I had a hard time reading his posts as well but do we really need to celebrate someone's leaving the site?

Thank you.

Some of the guys will tell you that I tend to over-defend some of the newer guys. I like to give the benefit of the doubt, even when it's going woefully wrong.

I've gotten in some pizzing contests with the established guys over whether or not a newb was being a real turd, or was just misguided. More times than not, the newb lets me down.

I addressed this guy personally, and pointed out that he was headed down a dark road. It went ignored.

I would have loved to have seen what 40 years of firearms experience could have done for the place, but as you pointed out, it was a festival of errant behavior that we instead saw posted.

40 years experience is great (in most cases), but if the 40 years have not been spent wisely, then what's the use?

Let me say this.

The gun community is about to undergo incredible scrutiny. Spokespersons for the White House said on CBS just yesterday that the President will be addressing this soon.

Thanks to the recent rash of shootings of police officers, the attempted assassination of Gabrielle Giffords, and the like, the last thing we need is a guy discussing guerilla tactics for messing with his neighbors, all the while claiming to have done some questionable things with a firearm.

Guys like you and me and the members of this site go out of our way to promote a positive image of gun owners.

Multiple members tried to talk this one down. He responded by pushing issues to the max. I choose to celebrate.
