Prayers outgoing...

My friend's MIL is out of surgery. They did not get the news they were hoping to get. I feel so bad for my friend's wife. I wish I could help them in some way.

This is not about a forum member. The young man is not even a shooter. He was a neighbor of mine for ten years or so, and he and my son were azzhole buddies the whole time he lived here in Orlando, and remain so since he moved to Chalfont, PA in 1997. This helps me get this off my chest, so I am sorry if maybe it should not be here, but I need to do it.

A little about the young man. Frankie went to high school at Central Bucks West in Eastern PA, and graduated in 2001. He went from their to Drexel, but was an indifferent student. However, at that time, on an online gaming board, he met Jamie, a young girl from Reno, Nevada. Frankie struck up a friendship that went further. He eventually moved to Reno, away from the parental safety net, job help, and moved in with Jamie. Jamie was raising three children from a previous marriage, and raising her neice, who came from a bad home. Jamie did not have much. She was in her later 20s, and had not much future. Frankie loved her, worked two jobs, and they married. They had a little boy, who is now about 5. Frankie has been working for all of these kids since he moved out to Reno.

About four years ago, Frankie was diagnosed with B Cell Sarcoma cancer. Generally curable if found early, and it was. Treatment in Nevada was successful, and Frankie and the family moved to PA to go back to school, so he had a better future he could give the family. His parents helped greatly. Last August the cancer returned. He went through radiation, more chemo and eventually stem cell treatment, and it went into remission again. This is great we all thought. Frankie was home for Christmas.

Well, this May, it came back. Apparantly back with a vengence. Frankie has spent most of the time since then in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Tough fight. More Chemo and radiation.

Today Frankie was given tough news. The Oncologist does not think there is any more they can do. They gave him a week to live. He is coming home to die. They will continue to treat, but it will take a miracle to save him.

Frankie is a great kid, and he is 30 years old. I am having a great deal of trouble with this. I am having more trouble with this then I did when my parents passed.

Thanks for letting me get it out.
