I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

Isn't that what happens when a civilian threatens to kill someone? I'm sure it's a short sentence, but I guarantee that guy would have a whole new perspective on life within 24 hours behind bars. Probably a new inflatable donut to sit on too.

In Florida that would get you ten years without possibility of early release.
And with a felony conviction, no more firearms. As it is, this jerk will be carrying concealed just like the man he shook down.
Now that he is a civilian, if I were the victim, he would tote an ass whoopin. (or I would)

I wouldn't attempt it, he's the kind of azz clown that would shoot first as soon as you look at him sideways. Know why? cause he's a P#$^Y, that's why, hid behind his badge with his power trip while on the job, he'd hide behind a gun while off the job and try to count on the good ole boy network to keep him out of trouble.

Ohioans for Concealed Carry (OFCC) actually headed the attack on this officer. If anyone wants the skinny thats where to go (their website). Its chalk full of comments and even has the victim on their boards...

As a retired officer, I feel the same, firing is not enough.

As a retired officer, in your opinion why are these guys the way they are? He hit the rollers with an attitude, looked like to me...

yes he should have been fired and had charges brought against him for assualt. then the victim should file a lawsuit and take him in civil court.
i have respect for LEO during their job as they are suppose to. but this jerk makes the good LEO look like a bunch of trigger happy morons. what i saw was a guy on his own power trip, almost looking for someone to give him a reason to shoot them. very sad.
another danger this represents is this, just because he is fired from that agency, if he isn't convicted of some type of felony, he will end up with another agency doing the same thing again. he needs to be convicted of a felony so that he never wears a badge, much less a firearm.
also, makes you wonder how many times this has happened and not been broadcasted over the internet? probably isn't the first time he has pulled a stunt like this, just the first time he got caught doing it!
