I didn't know those poor Canadians were still living in teepees.
We should send them some drywall.

Beautiful, JDP. Cozy little camp, too.

THIS IS A FIRE RAINBOW (below) - THE RAREST OF ALL NATURALLY OCCURRING ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA.

THE PICTURE WAS CAPTURED THIS WEEK ON THE IDAHO / WASHINGTON BORDER. THE EVENT LASTED ABOUT 1 HOUR.

CLOUDS HAVE TO BE CIRRUS, AT LEAST 20K FEET IN THE AIR, WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ICECRYSTALS AND THE SUN HAS TO HIT THE CLOUDS AT PRECISELY 58 DEGREES.

Them are beautiful Jo. I use to see them all the time in the winters in Alaska. They were always different and colorful, and it was usually cold as as a well digger's ass in a tundra hole, at the time.

Awesome pictures. Thanks for posting them.

That is just beautiful, but -40 is a little cold for me, so pictures are as close as I will get to seeing The Northern Lights I guess.

Still awesome.
