Default norinco firearms...any honest opinions?

I mean besides the usual "chinese junk" outbursts...anyone have honest reviews? Specifically on the 1911 and the hawk defense 12ga?

I have a Norinco SKS that works just fine. I have handled some Norinco copies of the Winchester 1897 shotgun. They felt like a handful of Gobi desert was included, free of charge. Rough as hell. The Norinco M-14's had a heat treat problem with (I believe) the bolt. That is the extent of my knowledge. I would rather support a different country if I was looking for a 1911 pattern handgun. Armscor is made in a free country.
In life, strive to take the high road....It offers a better field of fire.
