For those of you old enough to remember him, Soupy Sales made his "name" by being famous for the pie in the face. Many of the big stars of the day appeared on his show, or with him, and took a pie in the face.
I remember watching his show on television back in the mid to late 60s. I was involved in several "skits' in high school with a classmate who did an excellent impression of Soupy Sales, complete with the pie in the face. In the early 70s, while working at Disneyland, I got to do a skit in the park with the Canadian incarnation of Soupy Sales, Uncle Buckshot. I smacked him in the face with a pie in front of our restaurant.
Soupy Sales has passed away at the age of 83. __________________

Soupy Sales has passed away at the age of 83.
Another comedian I grew up with.
