I've only got 3 firearms and 2 are used. The first handgun was new, but I just purchased a used handgun from a reputable shop.
One issue I see. My Kahr PM9 suggests a 200 round break-in period and I've heard people suggest up to 500 rounds. Since the histroy of the weapon wasn't known, but it looked really quite new, I couldn't assume it had gone through any breaking in, so I put 400 rounds through it before I started carrying it. It served to acclimate ME to the weapon, but also to make for darn sure that it doesn't have any cycling problems if it had missed its break-in.
