Says "Pain", then when flipped over it says "Love"

I knew a young woman who had "Michael" tattooed across her lower back.

Very low.

It reminded me that Michael had been here before me.

I was surprised that she did not get the laser treatment to remove Michael completely now that he was apparently onto someone else?

Has nothing to do with me.

Is more about the permanence of india ink, long after the people in your lives come and go.

A wedding band is a lot easier to take off and throw away.

I had some rules for myself when i started getting tats way back in the day before they became "fashionable" or "What all the cool kids do".

1) NEVER put another name on my body.
2) NEVER have ink where it cannot be easily covered. i.e. above the shoulders (neck/head) or below the elbows.

I gave this sage advice to my eldest when he turned 18...which he promptly ignored and will soon pay a serious price in the job category for it!
