Default New Surround receiver help

I was pretty sure I knew what I was doing but I've run into a snag.

I bought a used Yamaha RX-v665 7.1 surround receiver and got it in the other day. I was expecting that I could hook (via HDMI) my blue-ray and satellite boxes to the receivers HMDI 1 and 2 inputs, then run an HDMI from the receivers HDMI Out to the tv. However, only the video passes through. There is no audio directly to the tv. Regardless of whether I ever watch tv without needing the whole surround experience, this should have worked. I tried another HDMI cable from the receiver to the tv and it still didn't work. I know my TV input works because that's how I had the comcast cable hooked up before I got this receiver. Must be the receiver. The manual specifically refers to this output as video/audio. Weird. Am I missing anything?

o joy!

Turn on the digital output of the device feeding the receiver. They generally come with digital turned off.

The digital/analog settings are an effin mess!

By default the 665 is not set to pass audio on to the TV. Isn't that the whole point of a media reciever?

Here is a link to a PDF manual for it. http://static.highspeedbackbone.net/pdf/RX-V665_manual.pdf

Gun,

You were right, there was a setting to pass audio through. Thanks. I downloaded the same manual, just didn't get to that page before you answered. So now I know. And I'll never use it again. I just had to solve it.
