Default New production 7.62x54R

I saw that surplusammo.com has surplus 7.62x54R ammo for sale and they say in the description that it is new production corrosive surplus 7.62x54r ammo. What do they mean by "new production"?

7.62x54r is still the Russian heavy rifle round. I am assuming it is modern surplus rather than the soviet era stuff we normally see

I have read some where that it is cheaper to make corrosive. I will give them a call and see exactly what they got

They are probably using modern non corrosive power but still using the corrosive primers. Thats my guess.
