When we want sexy we will call upon the marines, when we mean business we will call upon the Air Force. wait... what?

You can't be sexy and get the job done?

I guess the idea of hiding stains and whatnot is a pretty good idea. At first glance I was wondering what a Navy guy would need camo for anyway. I mean..You find the ship you can pretty much expect seaman to be around there somewhere.

What a bunch of dumb asses there are in the Navy to adopt this uniform. Better than the working uniform they have now but sh!t, go back to the blue cambric shirt and seafairers. I think about all the underpaid E-2's out in the fleet that are going to have to buy new uniforms!!

My roommate just got them, and he is a big fan of them, WAY easier to maintain and they look good IMHO.

Clothing allowance is increased when they make you buy a new set of uniforms or they issue the clothes. When I was in the Air Force it was like $250 a year but when they required a new PT uniform they gave us a one time payment of like $400, which was the exact amount for the required set of uniforms.

I am so glad I am out. I would be pissed being made to wear something that looks like a dam smurf puked up after a night of binge Drinking.

I am an author in progress and from an artist point of view this looks badass. The digital pattern makes the uniform a more complex look and the mixture of blue and black is a rare but ravishing mix of colors. It makes the user look way cooler and I believe I will steal the mixture of blue and black look for a uniform design that I am working on.
However, that is an opinion from an artist point of view, the Navy isn't supposed to be art....... I, being unexperienced, do not see any reason to make them wear this except for food stain camouflage..... but then again, orange wont blend very well......
So Ima say, devil-dog wanna be.

ps I showed this to my dad (Sgt. in the Corps) and his response was:
"Them swabbes finally realized we were the better so they are getting in line and following our example."

Maybe it's just me, but it isn't like you are going to blend in with anything on a ship. Add to that the fact that you'll blend in really well with white caps and the rotor wash of a helo, and I can't support it. Then again, I always wore a red jersey at sea, so I'm biased.
Seriously, if you're dodging sniper fire on a ship, you need to get offshore a little bit more.
