Some things I personally consider when purchasing ammo:
I avoid ammo named after dangerous animals. Pirhanas, Pit Bulls, Dragons, etc. My only exceptions is the Russian stuff, as it is impossible to avoid Wolf, Bear, and Tiger.
I avoid ammo with words like annhilate, devastate, terminate, and most of all, EXTREME in the name. A super no no goes to the alternate spelling, X-TREME! My exception is Hydra-shock, which I take to mean as devastating to mythical multi headed dragons.
Should I have to defend myself in court, I don't need an over zealous prosecutor asking me why my carry piece was loaded with Super terminal X-Treme Pit Bull rounds.
I don't buy ammo where I buy Air soft, if I actually bought Air soft. My exception is Wal-Mart, as it's just impossible to avoid.
