Geez Scubie, you must be a really good husband.

I try my best,,, I fail a lot and end up being a putz sometimes but I'll never stop trying. My only concern is someone else coming along and treating her better... naaaah, I don’t have to worry about that, I have access to a front-end loader and a 100 acres of desert.

As stated above, the photo is from Colt's display at the NRA National Meeting last fall.

It all started almost a year ago with the forum musings about what the Centennial Celebration would bring in the way of commemorative offerings.

I stated my idea of what the 100 Year Anniversary Commemorative should be;

A canebrake Centennial 1911 would be a COLT'S, exact replica of the M1911, with modern processing, modern materials, vintage markings, special serial numbering and a slide with the vintage roll mark (see below) on one side and a NOT BAROQUE, but special "Centennial Government 1911 - 2011" roll mark on the other side.

A Solid, Long, Smooth-Faced Trigger, No Finger Relief Crescent Cuts to the Frame behind the Trigger, a GI Wide Spur Hammer, Short Spur on grip safety, Flat Main Spring Housing, Thin blade front sight, Small rear sight notch, Wood Double Diamond checkered grips, Lanyard Ring, Blued, not Parkerized and shipped in a replica of the original box with wax paper wrapping!

Produce them to market demand and stop production and the special serial numbering on 12/31/2011! (11/30/2011, missed it by one month!)

Price them at $999.99 and produce them with music wire springs and carbon steel parts. (MSRP: $1,150.00, but my price was more a wish than a prediction. )

Feel free to produce any other limited edition, foo foo, gilded, scrolled, unobtanium, machined in space's zero gravity models you care to. I don't want one!

The 2011 Centennial Edition?? Anyone??

I heard this year she is gonna disassemble it and throw the parts out the window, place a bow in the yard and tell you Happy Birthday.
Then play Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage" as you feverishly attempt to find the small parts strewn about the yard. Evil, but I hope she video's it
Congratulations, but you need to keep an eye on that one 'Scubie
