Default Coat tails........................

Yep, the world lost a GREAT MAN. It's sad that our president put his name in whilst talking about Mandela. The first black president of the U.S.A. won't go like the first black president of Africa...........

Dont we all...

I have a bit diff opinion about him, he wont get my vote for sainthood but I bet there are a few million Dark South Africans that would. He wasnt evil, just sick of seeing his buddies being treated like slaves, raped and murdered. I know a couple Black South Africans and they still have to worry about walking down white streets and being perceived as in the wrong place at the wrong time but its not the same place it was 30 years ago and thats been good for them.

Civil war is rarely bloodless and in the midst of one, innocent people die and some bad people gain power too often. It does boggle my mind that when we eulogize famous folks, the whole truth rarely comes out but luckily, life in South Africa did not affect me or mine so I suppose it doesnt matter to me that much as it did them.

RIP Nelson, I hope the bloodletting ends but I doubt it will any time soon...

Default Pee wee Herman................

I know what I am, but what are you.................Bush thinks Mandela is a Bad Guy, He's on the terrorist list. LOL.........We gonna have 16 years of eating chit, how much more can we stand. Lincoln had the idea to free the slaves, King had the dream, Ossammy wants to spread the wealth.............Whats next.......................Like my late aunt said once, you never know who your Enemas are...........lol.............Mandela never started a war against his own or others. His problem was that he couldn't control the population, once freed. The same as wild hogs.................Call this hate mail....................

Mandella was indeed a remarkable human being. But he is also, in some ways, a creation of our western liberal media who elevated him. The ANC committed many atrocities under his leadership. I never understood why we ignored his ongoing friendship and admiration of Mugabe, either. Interpol pegs the SA murder rate at 114 per 100k. White farmers are being killed off at an alarming rate. Those are all part of his ANC legacy and will need to be admitted and then sorted out.

Anyway, he was indeed a remarkable, generational man and achieved much.

RIP.

So what you're saying, we can blame lincoln and martin and john...........Hell we gave the Iraqis there freedom to kill each other. The same as Mandela gave his people the right to kill thier neighbors and let all the farm land turn into a waste land because they the people were set free to sit on thier arses and let the new Gov. feed them...........You can't blame one man for trying, when the rest will take advantage of his suffering. Hell his wife should have been hung by the neck for her missdeeds in his names sake............Now throw in the price of oil and precious metals. No body gives a chit about freeing the blacks of Africa. Not even the Rulers of BLACK AFRICA...............Lol, A great black comedian went to africa, and he said thier were no n#####s in Africa and was glad he lived in the USA.............Mandela did what he thouht was right, 27 years in prison was proof enough. Even some of the white gaurds had his respect.....................We all need to follow his way of life...........The rant is over.................

I have followed Mandela and admired him for many years. I believe he is an honorable and good man. He had more courage than many. I will miss him. I never thought he'd live this long but I'm glad he did. May I be as firm in my beliefs as he has been in his. God keep his soul.

Doing the right thing doesnt always have positive outcomes for everyone and sometime for anyone but we still do the right thing anyways. I think he did what was correct, what others did with their freedoms after the fact wasnt within his control.

I am not a student of his life. I, however, realize, history books are written by the winners, not the loosers.

Becoming a president of a major country made him a winner. In his victory, he was able to pen his legacy in history, any way he wanted to, to a major degree. He controlled media, government, and governments.

Was he a good man? I am sure history books will tell us he was.
