Need help with moral decision

I afford myself precious few pleasures in life. Even my choices of firearms are based more on practicality than the "cool" factor.

The one thing I do allow myself is Ben and Jerry ice cream. Maybe 2 pints a week (I work out, it's cool). I work, pay taxes, give of my time freely to others, this is my one "me" thing.

Until today.

Apparently, B&J is releasing "Yes, Pecan!", an Obama inspired ice cream. Now I knew these guys were tree hugging Woodstock leftovers, but I try to live and let live.

I don't see a "Palin Praline" anywhere. I leave it to you guys. Do I start my own personal boycott, or hold my nose and eat my Cinnamon Buns?:mad:

Here is my thought on it...B&J's gives money to anti gun groups , I think they give .05 cents per dollar but can't remember exactly. So does Sam Adams beer. Now normaly I will not buy or use anything that gives to anti gun groups. But in reality we can not avoid them all. B&J makes some of the better ice cream and I am tempted myself but I still have the will to resist them.

They give money to antis? I'm already moving closer to Haagen Dasz(?).:mad:

Ben and Jerry's is one of the biggest liberal special interest groups that there is. If you were to name one organization that you find unholy and bad, you can guarantee that they give money to them.

NRA maintains a list of anti-gun organizations and individuals;
http://www.nraila.org/Issues/factsheets/read.aspx?ID=15

Ben & Jerry's is about 2/3 of the way down the list. I didn't see Hšagen-Dazs, or Cold-Stone on the list.

Pink Pistol also has this list and more on their site.

I would rather eat a frozen dog turd on a stick than spend one red cent on B&J's ice cream.
Fortunately, we have Blue Bell ice cream in Texas. Nothing better in the world than a bowl of Tin Roof.
My uncle in Indiana takes several half gallons home from here packed in dry ice everytime he comes to town.

I've actually never had B&J's ice cream. I guess it's because I don't see the point in paying brand name price for chocolate (my favorite) when I can just pay for the cheap brand. If I can avoid it I won't give any money to anti-gun groups or support any company who does.

I often see folks wearing Levi's at the range, and other gun venues. If you didn't already know, Levi Strauss is also on the list. :eek: Wrangler, however is not, and they are less expensive anyway.
