I may be onto something. I found an option to recover it to it's "out of box" state. Maybe it will do what I think it will and I'll just have a new computer...

Yeah, I'll make it clear, the tech guys who specialize in divorce discovery have everything they need. I don't need anything on here. I still have my old one, that's beat to hell, buggy, and freezes randomly... But it works...
So a "new" computer with a clean slate is fine.

Give this a try, When you start your computer up, right before it mentions that windows is loading start tapping the f8 key over and over again.
You should get a windows advanced options menu.
From there select safe mode.
You should see a login screen with Administrator, and your username. Choose Administrator.
Then, Goto Start > Control Panel > Users > Select your user account > Change password > Then take it from there.
Once your done, reboot the computer and allow it to start normally.
