Default National Weather Service orders 40k+ rounds of ammo

http://www.infowars.com/national-weather-service-follows-dhs-in-huge-ammo-purchase/

Quote:
Why would the National Weather Service need to purchase large quantities of powerful ammo? That’s the question many are asking after the federal agency followed in the footsteps of the Department of Homeland Security in putting out a solicitation for 46,000 rounds of hollow point bullets.

A solicitation which appears on the FedBizOpps website asks for 16,000 rounds of .40 S&W jacketed hollow point (JHP) bullets, noted for their strength, to be delivered to locations in Ellsworth, Maine, and New Bedford, Mass.
A further 6,000 rounds of S&W JHP will be sent to Wall, New Jersey, with another 24,000 rounds of the same bullets heading to the weather station in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The solicitation also asks for 500 paper targets to be delivered to the same locations in Maine, Massachusetts and New Jersey.
The National Weather Service is is one of six scientific agencies that make up the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
What in the wide, wide, world of sports is going on here?

The expansion of Police Powers to all Gov't Depts? This is something I have noticed for quite a few years now and have commented on before.

NY city Building Inspectors are now armed and have Police powers. NYS Fire Marshalls are permitted to conceal carry and have Police powers as well. NYS DEP also are armed and have Police Powers - not to mention ther own SWAT teams

These are mainly inspection or code compliance agencies ... why do they need to be armed and why do they need police powers? Is stacking some boxes in front of an emergency door temporarily really a criminla offense? Does burning some brush on your property really call for being drawn down on and arrested?

"you are missing the grab bar behind the toilet"
"Sorry sir, I didn't realize I was missing that piece of hardware for the toilet stall, I'll get it insta ...
"put your hand up and get on the ground"
"wait, why are you pointing a gun at me?"
"you are under arrest for violation for the Building Code"

seriously ... armed Building inspectors!?!?!?

Just to give you a little more context. The owners of Walmart are part of infragard and in an emergency they are granted a license to kill. Yeah, I know, I know, I'm just a paranoid kook.

Nah, to me it looks like you're just a stoopid monkey eating the barrel of a revolver.

Just because your paranoid does NOT mean they aren't out to get you!
