I've said this before, byut I think it's worth repeating.
Keep a good stock of ammo on hand at all timnes. and if you want a new gun, don't wait until the last six months before an election to buy it.
The manufacturers and retailers really love panic buying and shortages so they can raise prices. And the prices will not come down very much.

i agree 100%.
with that said, i don't believe the youtuber was "pushin" for a "before election" ammo run. as i stated in earlier posts, he wants firearms owners to come together and make a statement against the "nosiness" of big brother. if the feral gooberment is gonna single out bulk ammo buyers just because it is easy (due to a few reports of bulk sales everyday/week), then, proverbially, CRASH THEIR SYSTEMS by havin 10 million firearms owners buy @ one particular time........flood their phone lines with so many "reportins" that they give up. THAT'S WHAT I BELIEVE HE WAS TRYIN TO CONVEY.

National buy ammo day? Lame. All that does is drive up prices.
How about a national write your elected officials day? There's 80 million gun owners. I know if a thousand gun owners sent me a letter, I'd sure as hell listen.

yes it does, I hope you buy in bulk!
I dont see why you guys wont buy ammo on this day? I would buy ammo because it proves a point to big brother and it also proves that we should be able to buy as much ammo as we want. I dont think it would drive up prices, I bet the owners of some cabelas or bass pro shops would have a sale if this was a big thing.

Sorry to resurrect an old subject but I missed the above comment and feel I must clarify my statement. I too OC while in my boat and have done so since 1987. My comment about the St Pete, Florida pier was aimed at a small group that use "going fishing" as a pretense to OC from their homes to the pier, linger around the pier for an hour or so, never wet a hook and then parade off the pier while OC'ing. IMHO, this is not the way to sway the average citizen on the right to OC and most comments by those that observe such events are against OC'ing. The St. Pete pier is not primarily a fishing pier but consists mostly of family restaurants and tourist shops.

I keep a fishing pole in the truck at all times. I'm ALWAYS going to,
or coming back from, fishing. Florida IS fishing. So, if you also have
a CWP, you have pretty much complete coverage, here, and are
thereby carrying legally, most of the time.
And of course, the actual fishing's great, also. Or you could
keep a backpack with you, for camping, or a WMA permit,
for the 365 day wild boar season...
