Default My XD listing/name rant!

I'm currently shopping for an XD45 Compact or a 1911, I haven't made up my mind. I am so tired of seeing a listing for an XD45 sub compact and other very common misnamings. It's wasting my time and starting to tick me off. Sooooo......for everyone at FTF let me spell out the current Springfield XD lines with their PROPER names.

XD sub compact comes in 9mm and 40 S&W. It has a 3" barrel, comes with 2 mags 1 short and 1 extended
9mm= 10 +1 and 16 +1
40 = 9 +1 and 14 +1

This is not available in 45ACP or 45 gap, I wish it was.

XD Compact is only available in 45ACP. It can either a 4" or a 5" barrel and again has 2 mags with it, 1 short and 1 extended. Capacity is 10 + 1 and 13 + 1.

XD Service comes in 9mm, 357 sig, 40 S&W, 45gap and 45 ACP. All have 4" barrel and a full length grips. Capacities....
9mm = 16 + 1
357 & 40 = 12 + 1
45gap = not sure, don't really care, I don't like this round but I think it's the same as 45 ACP
45ACP = 13 + 1

XD Tacticle (some of you will get this) is exactly the same as the service model but it has a 5" barrel.

Stop trying to tell me you have a 45 compact when it's a service, or a 45 sub compact because they don't exist. Stop telling me I'm wrong and treating me like a jackass when I politely correct your ignorance or mistake. You're a freaking gun dealer, know what the heck you're selling!!!

I have one and the XD .45 Compact is a fine gun. Had the service model for a while but the grip just seemed way to long and the balance was different. The pinky extensions on the 10 round mags make the perfect grip for me...

I'm not talking about here but all over the internet, local papers, etc... I swear if I go into another gun shop and get handed the wrong pistol again I'm going to whip them with it.
I'll make the news if they hand me a glock.

SF, you didn't list all of the available colors/finishes. It still cracks me up that mine is OD; i guess i'm just old-fashioned. If they come out with a safety orange model, i might have to get one just for laughs.

Had to be a smart aleck didn't you??

Black
OD Green
Dark Earth

All can can be had with a stainless or black slide.

Anyone here have an XDM and not sure what their holding? They're all the same....one has a hole thats .04" bigger then the other. The newest ones have a plastic trigger, older ones are metal. This is suppose to help reset and isn't generally seen as a negative.

Default 9 mm XD compact.

Interesting, in theory I rented an XDcompact 9mm for a class I took. If it was instead a full sized XD that would explain why it was so smooth and easy to shoot. I decided on a .45 and that's what I got. Did they ever sell a .9mm compact?
