To my Oregon brothers in the coast....
Guys.
Im gonna take some time off and bug out to the coast for a couple of days. I will be doing it survival style. Whatever I can put in my van (food, water, camping gear, guns etc.) and just chill by the beach with some beers and a firepit. I will like some suggestions to where to go and not to go.
Thanks in advance.

I'd be checking the weather, unless you're good with spending all that time in the van. It was 42 last night with a heavy dew here, and it is threatening to rain.
Winter surf can be a bit unpredictable, Honeyman State Park is inland and a nice place to camp!

The Goonies hung out in Astoria.
~300 miles from you and 5 hours.
Always wanted to go there.

Seaside and Cannon Beach have great beaches, but you can't camp on them. Sit by the fire all night with a blanket is ok. Del Rey beach in Gearhart is wide and long and you can drive on it. No overnight camping, as in, no tents, though. Dunes the entire lenght of it and the wreck of the Peter Iredale at the northern end and the jetty which is the mouth of the Columbia River. Temp is clear and 38 now.
