Well today I traded off my pontoon boat. The damn thing just kept dumping my guns off in the lake! WTF!

This is what I traded her for.

This one is a 23 ft VIP Vindicator with a 460 King Cobra Spitfire engine. She sounds nasty! Can't wait to get her on the water!

I was considering getting one of those pontoon

boats. Why did you get rid of yours?

Were you just looking for a ski boat, for instance, or

do the pontoon boats have issues?

At first glance, they look like a great fishing

platform.

Zero issues with my pontoon. Only 103 hours on motor and out drive. We used to have a lake house at Possum Kingdom Lake here in Texas, but it was sold last February when my dad and stepmom got divorced. When we had the lake house we would have a lot of friends down and go out on lake. Now it's my wife and boys and I going out for the most part, so I don't need a boat capable of holding 13. Plus I've always wanted a loud go fast boat. This boat is just as long as the pontoon, but has a cabin area down in the nose.

The VIP tows 100 times better than the pontoon. I found the VIP on Craigslist and the guy was open for trade and just happened to be looking for a pontoon boat. Amazing luck on my part.

Reminds me I know a guy who moved to a retirement community in NC his wife picked to retire to and die in. He found out when he got there he could only have one boat on his property. He kept his big pontoon boat and sold his relatively new, rare, 18th C. replica Jolly Boat. He kept its bow swivel gun as a memento -- lol.

There's a hatch I can pop up from in cabin with a gun if need be! Never know when I may have to fend off a Somali pirate....

Thank you sir! The interior on this boat is perfect. The previous owner of the pontoon left it uncovered in the Texas sun for an entire summer which sun damaged the seats beyond belief. They needed to be completely redone.
