Cap Night? Free bobbleheads? Fifty-cent hotdogs? Forget it. If you want to put butts in the seats, you need a giveaway that really says baseball and family entertainment. And the Huntsville Stars are taking dead aim at a sellout by calling July 3 "Second Amendment NIght" and raffling off three weapons from Larry's Pistol and Pawn. Well, gift certificates for guns, anyway. There's no right to bear arms at the Alabama ballpark. General manager Buck Rogers understands it's a hot-button issue, but notes, "We're not touching base on the First Amendment, Fourth Amendment, abortion or any of that type of stuff." Whew!
