Ha classic lol

Must be cool to set up some impromptu targets (or milk bottles) and just go for it, wish I could do that! Awesome too that you got to spend quality time with your Dad...and I like the "gentle suggestion" that a trap gun is extremely necessary now, hint

really happy for ya mate. Hope you get to do some hunting very soon
Thanks z, it is great to be able to shoot whenever I want (weather permitting of coarse!). Even though it's only a smallish property we're still far enough away from the neighbours to use the shotty, the .17 and they usually don't mind the occasional shot out of the .223 either.. We do go elsewhere for the .243 and the .25-06 but

I did get to do a small bit of hunting, there are starlings nesting and making a mess in the shed so I got to ventilate a few of those.. I understand what you American guys mean by prairie dog mist now, the only thing I could find left of one starling after I whacked it with the HMR was a foot and a few feathers!

I have to get as much teasing in as I can Lon, I don't manage to beat him very often and he sure as anything gives me hell when I lose!

I had similar thoughts while waiting my turn during IPSC on Saturday - very noisy Indian Miners (aka 'flying rats' & widely hated as city vermin) were making a hell of a noise on the concrete barrier-walls. Of course it was only day-dreaming...I'm using hollowpoints atm so there probably would have been less than a foot left! lol
