And my all time favorite musician for the last 44 years of my life.........

"Even the president of the United States sometimes must have to stand naked...."

Whenever Bob Dylan comes around in concert, I have to go see him. I can't tell you how many times I've seen him in concert. I adore this man.

And now, the backstory. For those of you that have already heard it, go play over there for 2 minutes.

Some years back, my lady gave me a CD for Christmas. "Vietnam- a Musical Perspective". Cool. A few weeks later, I had an EARLY morning flight- out of Baltimore- and I live in Central VA, so here it is, Oh Dark Thirty, and I am Northbound on I-95. Trying to wake up, dodge the trucks, and find something on the radio. Ah, crap- nothing but Art Bell on Coast to Coast.

But wait- I have not listened to that CD my lady gave me. Took it out of the compartment in the dash, gnawed my way one handed thru the cello wrapper, and popped it in the player. Remember, it is still pitch dark out there, and rather lonesome. Long lead in, and then.....

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING VIETNAM !!!! This is Armed Forces Radio, Saigon!

No, not Robin Williams. Adrian Kronauer. The REAL, ORIGINAL Adrian. The actual morning DJ from AFR Saigon that was portrayed in the movie. He was the narrator for the CD, and introduced each of the songs.

Took me 50 miles of driving to get the hair to lay back down on my neck!

That's IT! (Good Lord- LOOK at those prices!)

Click on the "listen to a sample" button, listen to Martha and the Vandellas- and you will hear the REAL Adrian. But not his trademark greeting.

Yeah, I saw those prices too. I may have to wait awhile before I get THAT CD.

Here's him saying good morning Vietnam. (skip to 5:04 unless you want to listen to the whole video)

He has some big lungs on him.

I was born in '71 and I have loved the music from this era since I was a young boy. Music from today just isn't that good, give me something older any day of the week.
