IIRC, some older cars if they apply for antique LP's, they can be exempted because they usually aren't driven daily.

If I could have one muscle car.... I would pick a 1966 Mustang Shelby GT500. Beautiful car.

wrong year. the GT500 was the big block version of the Shelby Mustang and didn't come out until 1967. the GT350 was the small block version.

Default Muscle Cars, those we have had, and those we wished we could have had!

I cant reply to you directly because the app keeps closing out.

Anyway, I guess I got confused. But yes that was what I was thinking of. The gt350 was made from 65-66 and then came the gt500 which stopped being produced in 68 if I remember right? Both nice cars none the less.

the GT350 started in 1965 and went to 1970. the GT350 was the small block version of the Shelby Mustang. the GT500 started in 1967 and was the big block version of the Shelby Mustang. in 1968 they called the big block versions the GT500KR, which meant, "King of the Road".....

read up on the 1965 and 1966 models of the Shelby Mustang. quite interesting. the '65 and '66 fastbacks are probably my favorites of the Shelby Mustangs.

here's a link for you to read up on them.

In AZ, its pre-'68 is exempt, after that its whatever the laws were at manufacture... My scout is a '73 never came with cats or a charcoal canister so, theres noting for the the state to test. Its suppose to have a PCV valve but I have a breather on it...

Pics from the "Rod Run" in Pigeon Forge Tennessee (think Dollywood).

I'm sure you're right. Antique or classic and I think some places have a collector plate. A lot of those are old enough to be exempt from emissions testing anyway.
