they might have been concept cars, but the first production Mustangs came out in early part of 1964.

I can try to find one online but thats not my were i got my info i have a mustang book that i learned alot out of... i wish i knew what box it was still packed in lol

any chance they were these two cars? a 1962 Mustang prototype and a 1963 Mustang prototype.

Google images has the concept cars, which I think what he is referring to. They are kinda ugly.

Yes those r it! Holy $#&% i forgot how ugly they were! I never said they were production cars lol i only asked what yr the first mustang was made...never asked how many or if it was in production. Thanks for finding some picks for me

if these were the two he was refering to, and i have seen them before as well and in several books. these were prototypes or concept cars, and not production cars, meaning they were never intended for production or for sale to the general public. most concept cars are usually destroyed after they are not longer being used for car shows and such.

then 1962 was the first Mustang as a concept car, but 1964 1/2 was the first year of production. the 1962 Mustang was also mid-engined.
