DFynt , sorry , but technically, the GTX , it was a Belvedere with Ooooomph and pretty.! LOGO..

The Thunderbird was a luxury as the Nova , ETC. , was a car your grandmother would drive.....! I'm talking from the ground up and not something caught up in the "MUSCLE-CAR WARS"..! They,d stick a HEMI in a VW if it would sell..!
That don't make it a muscle car according to the NHRA.........!

everything i listed came with a V-8 at some point, either standard or as an option. even a smaller lightweght car, with a healthy small block was a muscle car.

There were lots of "muscle" cars. They just didn't slap silly stickers on them until about '69.
