The Movie "Wanted."

Have you seen it?

Talk about "far-fetched..."

Curving bullets, shooting wings off flys, and my personal favorite; hitting bullets with bullets "like a bullet sword fight or something."

I know, I know, it's Hollywood, but come on...

It was an OK movie, but I became the A-Hole mutting things like, "Come on," and "Seriously," etc...

Side note: I thought "Shooter" was done rather well.

FANTASY! - You have to keep things in context. If you didn't know going in that you were in for another Matrix edition type of movie, you really weren't paying attention to the trailers. You pay your $8-$12 and you get 2 hours of escapism. Nothing that happens in the movies is realistic. Even Shooter, which was pretty well done, had holes big enough to drive a truck thru. I could rip that movie to shreds from a firearms stand point, not to mention tactical shooting, in about 10 minutes - but I didn't go see that movie for a "How To" I went to see a good movie with a Sniper overtone....

In my opinion, you have to suspend belief and enjoy the effort that was put forth on the screen. Besides, how can you EVER go wrong with 1) Angelina Jolie in a movie and 2) Seeing a naked Angelina Jolie in a movie?!?!?:eek:

Saw it. It is entertaining and the eye-candy isn't bad, but the gun tricks do tend to push the envelope of reality.

I'm in awe of the special fx that are done with computers these days. I wonder how many idiots are going to try and duplicate some of the shooting tricks?

I was wondering the same thing... Who is going to get shot first when someone tries to "curve" a bullet?

Pure Hollywood crap!!! Unfortuantely I can find no escapism in cinema bs than I could from talking to someone who is sitting in front of me lying to my face. If you find entertainment in that crap so be it.. have fun.

It beats sitting in the home bunker, behind the sand-bags and concertina wire, reading the Army Field Manual. It's entertainment, not in any manner intended to portray reality, so no lies involved. And yes, I shall have fun.

Oh my gosh Fantasy Fiction!

I suppose reading Heinlien, Asmov, Clark, Niven, Pornell, and a bunch of other science fiction and fantasy was exposing my imagination to crap too. But it was a great deal of fun. They just do it with video nowadays.

Shucks when I was a kid we would lob 38 specials at targets 300 and 400 yards away and pretend they were tachyon bombs because we watched a Star Trek episode with something like that. Thing was we got to where we could hit stuff that far away and just did it by pretending the weapon was more than it was. We use a thing called imagination.

Some folks just don't get the point of having an imagination. Entertainment can be many different things to many different people but don't take away the value imagination of someone's fantasy just because its crap to you.

I simply refuse to tell any you what some of my imaginations were with Angelina in that movie! Chances of any of them ever happening with me and her! Now that would be a load of crap.

I was not bad but I have no desire to see it again.

It's loosely based on a comic book, "real" was not part of the concept..
