Default This movie is a real life SHTF situation

For those who wonder what it would be like if the SHTF, I have a movie for you.

No, it isn't Red Dawn!

It is Defiance

It is the story of the largest Jewish armed resistance to oppression in WWII. The three brothers and their followers saved over 1200 from the Nazis. Look for it on EPIX1 on Dish Network, staring Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell, this will take the romance right out of anyones thoughts about what fighting for your freedom would be like.

I was really taken aback when I read the credits afterward. Those brothers truly performed an amazing miracle.

That was indeed a good movie. It just amazes me what people in Europe went through in WWII.

I truly hope we never reach that level of oppresion in this country but I'm not betting on it. At my age I would have to just stand and fight with what I have left after arming the young men.
My father and two uncles fought in WWII and I honestly don't think we have enough young people today that can or will stand up like those folks did.

saw it in the theaters a very very good movie. altho way over dramatized the basic story was there.

"Gun control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound." L. Neil Smith

The problem with being stupid is you cannot simply decide to stop doing dumb things...
