Don't be hard on yourself. That's still about 250 CCs more than most people have.

I believe your bike is a refined, slightly bigger version of the CM200 Twinstar that I had back in the early '80s. One of my favorite bikes. It helped with my delinquency considerably This is not it, but it looked exactly like this one, same color and everything:

I wouldn't say I'm being hard. But 619 miles one way is killer on that thing.

The Suzuki DR650 (60% dirt / 40% street)
Kawasaki KLR650 (40% dirt / 60% street)
Many smaller and cheaper alternatives. I own the DR, great bike. Continents w/3rd world countries have been crossed on these types of bikes. My DR:

My bike, still for sale too!

Started life as a 2004 Honda shadow 600
Frame was chopped off behind the seat
Hard tailed
Hyper charger (the brand eludes me at the moment)
16" ape hangers
Front fender tabs shaved
95% of the metal has been polished
Hard Chrome exhaust
Custom rear fender
Hand made seats, front and rear.
Custom signals, front and rear
Hand made fender struts
And a bunch of other crap.

It's been in 3 shows and taken a trophy home all three times

My favorite compliment is "That's a nice Harley" it takes them a few seconds to realize what they are looking at... Then the look of disgust I love it.
