Ok well I didn't have enough vacation at work to go on this bike trip with my 2 brothers. They left Arkansas to go to the Grand Canyon and they made it in 3 days. Man I wish I had the vacation time to of gone. All the camp sights are full so they are headed on to Utah today and are just gonna go till they have to come back. 12 days in the wind just two brothers on two wheels now that's a true vacation! By the way they are on a yamaha venture with a pull behind trailer of gear and a vtx 1300 Honda.

Nothing like getting out on the open road for a week or two

Are your brothers going to southern Utah? If so,they really need to check out the southern national parks, they're absolutely spectacular!!

Several years ago I took a little over 2 weeks and rode through CO. on Hwy 550 the million dollar highway, then into Utah to Moab,UT. where Arches National Park is located along with Canyonland, and Dead Horse Point. From there I went to Capitol Reef National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, from there Zion National Park imo the jewel of southern Utah. From Utah I kept going west to Las Vegas, rode through Vegas to CA. which was my turn around point back to MO. where I rode through AZ. NM. TX. OK. and back through KS. home to Missouri...It was probably the best ride I ever took

If they have internet access and stiil in AZ. have them look up Hwy. 191 on the south eastern side of AZ. It goes through Apache National Forrest through the mountains, one stretch is 95 miles with no service and over 400 switchbacks, yes over 400 switchbacks!

Here's a picture I took on Hwy 191 in AZ. They changed the highways number,it used to be Hwy.666

Snuck in a ride today. Not easy given that it's a Sunday, Mother's Day, honey do, etc, lol.
