I feel ya on being cut off! That's how I got in my wreck, glad you're okay though! Better have pictures of the new bike! And I believe this also calls for a new 1911, just because

I am a much more careful rider today than most. I went over the hood of a car at 40 mph when I was 17. Old man turned left in front of me. When he saw me he stopped in my path. I have probably avoided that same accident 100 times since then. One accident will change the way you ride for the rest of your life. I currently ride a Honda VTX1300T. That is a V-Twin Cruiser with the windshield and soft bags. I will ride whenever possible. I don't mind the cold. As long as there is no ice on the road I will ride. It is never too cold. There is just inappropriate clothing. One December we did the Salvation Army toy run when it was 4 degrees. Ok, that really was cold.

Glad u r "o.k."

Never went down but almost twice... Slow driving on CURVY seaside road ful of sand -- tail went out but kept it up somehow.

Then there was the 24' box truck that completely ran a red light. Never thought about even tapping his brakes... There was NOTHING I could do. If I had been driving about one second faster down the long road I had been on I'd have been under that truck, and two seconds faster I'd have been on the grill. The passenger was watching me come, his jaw wide open, bugeyed...

That's pretty hard core. Recently transferring from the Georgia/ Florida line Most of the riders I know are fair weather riders. Don't think they'd get on a bike while there is snow on the ground.

Thanks Doc, if the roads aren't iced over in the shaded areas of the mountain areas, and if it isn't 20 below, riding is always pleasant.
Here he is getting a drink:

Today was our annual poker run to benefit the local volunteer fire department. I was able to out arm twist everyone else and I got over $1,000 in donations for our silent auction.

First picture is a group at a rest break on our ride.

Next pic is my old 1998 SE with 147,000 miles - - - I bought it new in Aug 1997 and probably put all but about 500 miles on it.

Then there are 2 pics of my buddies 2003 wing that he just finished putting a trike kit on ( I told him old men and babies need trikes )

I just sold my 08 CBR1000RR. Been a bike nut for ages but the kids getting older and into sports and moving up the ladder with my career has taken up a ton of time. I road raced with CCS and WERA for about 7 years but would love to find a good Motard at a decent price.
