So I've been bitching, moaning and complaining about the snow and ice every chance I have gotten this whole winter. Yesterday is was 60˚ out. It was beautiful! Blue skies, light wind, T-shirt weather.
I was going back to work today after being out of work for a while. I was going to strip a roof. I was expecting it to be similar to yesterday. I was going to enjoy getting a tan. I was going to enjoy working (work seems mighty appetizing after 150+ job applications, trust me).
They have a saying in these here parts, "If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes." This is what I'm looking at right now. ***sigh***
Its the big poofy, heavy, wet snow thats going to turn to slush today and ice tonight.
Your saying about the weather is said here alot in the Ohio River Valley alot too. The other day it was almost 75 degrees and they are calling for snow possibly as early as Wednesday now. I agree with you about what you said about working. I have been off work for 2 and half months and now that I might be going back to work next week, I can't wait to shove ear plugs in, put on my hardhat and steel toed boots and listen to that plant crush and sort 1200 tons of rock an hour.
Anybody else get sick due to this up and down weather crap? I haven't been able breath through my nose for 4 days now and this morning I hacked up a snotball the size of .45 slug.
