Default Monkey with AK47

Kinda makes you want the monkey to be a better shot....

I really like his victory dance at the end too. Monkey, 1 African soldiers, 0. Here's your sign...

I've seen this video many times. I can't help but think 'idiots'. It's kind and of funny how they all disappear when the monkey finds the trigger.

I've seen that video. I'm not entirely sure it's real. Everybody runs but the cameraman? Makes you wonder...

Of course this video is real. The CIA has been training a unit of SF Primate Commandos for years now.

The camera man ran. Watch the video again. I think he filmed the last few seconds under cover. But you can tell he ran.

The AK-47 ... so easy a chimpanzee can do it!

I believe the video is authentic. Chimpanzees (and this one in particular) eagerly imitate people. The jubilant gesture in the end is in line with the body language of the soldiers. It did not have to be coached. The cameraman was retreating in the last seconds before he quit filming.

The moment of truth was really when the chimp fired live ammo. You can see the bullet hits raising dust. All for the good time. Probably in Angola, going by the original title in Portuguese.
