Nah bro - no fancy stories, no fancy gear ( well outside my Hp Analyzer and other cool electronics ), no super cool sunglasses. I was issued the same beat up, severely used stuff that the rest of the guys and gals got issued. Definitely not a Blackwater or Aegis Defense guy. Never got paid under the table with black ops money, never got to dress in a three piece suit and wear a fancy ear piece... LOL

I did get an expense account and got stuck with more than a few bar tabs though...

I never even heard of Nighthawk until I went to my first, or second, SHOT show. They were in business, but just really getting started on the whole US/World marketing and getting their name out there.

United States Naval Academy class of 2009, I graduate May 09. At the beginning of September I have to pick my service selection, and I will select USMC. I find out if I got it in November. Excited/nervous about TBS.

Any officers on here?

Screwtape- even tho I am Army (Go Army- Beat Navy!) it's good to hear from someone at Canoe U. By any chance do you know a couple that is a host familly to several of the midshipmen- Patty & Richard there in Annapolis? Good friends of mine.

And yes, retired 0-4, prior service NCO, commissioned in 1969.

And seriously, congratulations!
