What unusual firearm characteristic was shared by many early Colt revolvers, and the Italian Carcano rifle?

Correct, while he was sailing, (I think it was to India), he was inspired by a steering wheel on the boat.

Correct, even though it's not my question. Kind of ironic that the man who started the greatest gun company ever is the same man who's first guns were complete failures. even though the prototypes didn't work, he ended up using the concept to make some of the greatest guns ever made, and every gun today owes a little bit to his guns.

Don't forget to give John Browning his credit.

"At what age did John Browning build his first firearm and what did it end up as?"
