The arshin was 28 inches, based on a standard pace when walking/ marching.

It was a sad day indeed....Funny thing is...they destroyed the guns to reduce violence...if they sold them to collectors around the world, they'd have $ to fix their problems.

Seems off topic but NYC did the same thing -- many years ago now but they had a stash of original mint and unused full-auto Thompson's from the 20's and 30's and rather than unleash unfathomable death upon the population and sell them, in the midst of their financial crisis, they destroyed them all and went further into debt buying an arsenal of Ruger Mini-14's (and some American 180's in .22 Short Magnum you're not supposed to know about).

It's a firearms forum...firearms are always related. Especially when they are in dagner! Thoese poor, poor revolvers...
