Ah, ok. I had only head of that firearm as the Ppsh-42 or Ppsh-43. Basically just a lighter, stamped version of the Ppsh41

Yep. I've just always heard it called a PPS. I think thats the name of a walther pistol also.

Well, if you mean that they are both blowback operated and fire pistol cartridges, then yes they are. I hope that's what you mean

The only major difference between the two is that the ppsh43 has a stamped steel lower whereas the 41 has a wooden stock.
