at some point, if we live long enough, we may spend our last years sitting on the porch rocking, and being able to reflect upon the memories of our youth.

enjoy the years you have left and make the best memories you can. spend the time making more memories, and time with your loved ones and friends. as we grow older, and as friends die, we are further separated from our youth.

live your life with no regrets. live, love and laugh, and do it often.

I am philosophical about rethinking the past and projecting the future. I have made plenty of mistakes, I regret them, but I try to forgive myself, but then again, I never expected to be perfect. I have lived a productive life, I have raised two good children, I have been blessed to have had a long and happy marriage.I don't know what more I could have asked for. I like the way William Cullen Bryant suggested how we should approach the end, the most important part of his advice is the first two words:

So live, that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.

well, i have went through my mid-life crisis, survived it, and moved on to better things.

now, if i live long enough, hopefully i can go through an old-life crisis and make a bucket list journey!

i want to be that 90 year old man who goes sky-diving!

I am 68 and my only current regret is due to blood thinners I can no longer play ice hockey. I am currently looking for a pair of skates though so I can public skate. I can go too fast and scare some of the younger people!
