Default Memorial Day

Those service folk that are going on vacation and those that that can never do so for the sacrifice they made. A huge thank you and i remember and appreciate all every person has done living or deceased to keep us free.

To me this is a bigger holiday than christmas.

Just want to thank our service folks a happy holiday before you hit the road. Be safe!!

Normally this holiday is "how fast can i get to my vacation spot".

Little thought is given to great sacrifice our military folks make on a daily basis. Some who never see their child being born, first steps, first words. And the families who are so very proud watching their loved one go serve and never see them again.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

C3, that's beautiful.

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillement of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause, and lies exhausted on the field of battle... Victorious.

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
