Default Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day to all.

Please remember why we set this day aside to honor our fallen military men and women. It's not about car races, or barbecue, beer or boating. It is about remembering those who have lost their lives defending our freedoms and the freedoms of others, world-wide.

Our military men and women don't set the policy of our country, but give up their lives in order to serve their nation, in war and in peace. Not all who serve die. Not all who serve fight. But all who serve, do so with the knowledge that they may be called upon to do so. Not all who die, fall in battle, but their sacrifice is just as honorable.

Freedom isn't free. Please pause and remember.

Very well said Pioneer - All that live in this great country owe their great freedoms, their livelihood and all the little things that they take for granted to the tradition of the fine men and women who have stepped forward and said "Not on my watch".

Utmost respect and honor all those that have ever given so much of themselves in the service of a country that sometimes finds it easier to forget than to remember!

Monday is not a "day off" but a day to remember those that gave so you did not have too.

God Bless Our Troops to the last man & woman. Thank you for your sacrifice and service to this great country of ours!

JD

Please remember SPC Akitade, SSG Jessen, and SPC Wershaw. we couldn't all make it home to enjoy the freedoms of this great country.

God Bless and Keep all who are serving and have served under his protection. We owe them all more than we can ever repay.

All gave some. Some gave all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those who gave all. My thoughts and prayers to those who now serve, particularly those in harm's way. And finally from one old Vet to all my fellow Veterans, God bless you brethren.
