Default Memorial Day

This is Memorial Day weekend. Originally known as Remembrance Day. Unlike Armed Forces Day, the purpose is NOT to recognize those of us that serve, or have served, but in remembrance of those that have left us.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

What we have here is... failure- to communicate.

we need to remember those who sacrificed to give us the rights and freedoms we have. some went and never returned.

honestly, there just aren't enough words or tears to honor and respect those who did what they did, in paying the price for our freedoms. and to know they did so willingly of their own choice only makes that sacrifice that much more special.

God Bless those brave souls. you have our eternal thanks for doing what you did.
