its like you buy a gun, open the box, look at it, close the box and never use it. this gun in question was like that...since 1971. better known a mint.
ya know..like a new uncirculated coin from the u.s mint?

Oh.... I thinking just a box of parts when you said "unassembled"
Still never seen one with the barrel removed in the box, All the new guns ive seen have been put together....

Almost all of the higher end shotguns come unassembled. I.E. browning, benelli, beretta, krieghoff

I call BS on the damage during shipping. According to Bobski quote: "gun was in factory wax paper inside the factory styrofoam box, inside the factory shipping box, inside my shipping box".
Packed as this was, there would not in any way, be a rub mark through the anodizing.

ah...there he is.
so, lets see. i checked the books.
inquired on 29 dec.
payment received 5 jan.
shipped 9 jan.
received 11 jan.
26 jan he complains its damaged.
15 days after he signed for it?.
i can tell you this, if it wasnt damaged in shipment, it sure could have been played with for 15 days!
and like i said, even though i had no obligation, if he had called me the day it arrived, i would have worked with him.
receiving ffl needs to take serial numbers when it comes in within 24hrs and log it. once that box was opened, and the ffl touched it, its out of my hands. anyone could have dinged it and put it back in.
done deal.

About all you can do is state he had it 12 days after you gave him the normal 3 day inspection period (yeah i know)-
That shud squash any doubts on your end of the deal to anyone that understands anything about "long distance" gun deals- Other than that the azzhole will have to live with his buyers remorse & spew crap till he tires of it---
