My ex-wife was Norwegian (to her 100% Norwegian was one word, anything less was NOT Norwegian!). One Christmas she somehow found some lutefisk and served it. Did I mention she's my ex-wife!

Come to think of it, the McRib isn't so bad after all.

I hate the things. I just can't eat them. They are gritty when you chew them. But I know many love them.

Bash or defend the McRib. I have a friend who loves them. I may send him some McDonald gift certificates for Christmas.

It's the diet drinks that are not healthy for you too luv... PLEASE read. ((niceHUGS))

Hey! easy on the fish head soup! Especially if you can add some salmon eggs to it!

The first time I met my ex-husband's parents, his mom made fish stew. I ate it out of politeness but I thought I was going to vomit. It was awful.

Winds, you are welcome to come to Alaska and experience this Great Land and its' people. However there are a lot of us that eat game, fish, and locally harvested vegetation (berries to fireweed), some are better prepared than others, so come with and open mind and a "cast iron stomach.

I hope to make it up there someday. Game, locally harvested vegetation sounds good. I'm just really picky about fish, though I do eat fish.

We also have Akudaque (many spellings similar pronunciation) Most folks call it "Eskimo Ice Cream". Yes, it originated with native Alaskans, either Aliute, or Eskimo, but there is NO cream in it. The original recipe calls for Caribou Marrow, berries, and /or fish. Modern makings consist of "Crisco" whipped fluffy, with berries and sugar. I sometimes make this as a holiday treat for MY family.

McRib Ist Da! That was the sales jingle in Germany in 1980! Iche Leibe Da MacRib> I thought it was pretty good back then but my taste was in my hind end back then also. Probably very little to do with real pig in it but the flavoring was great (when I was cocked on great German Beer)!

As far as funky foods go, If it smells bad or looks bad, Im not putting it in my mouth! My Mom loved the stinkiest Cheeses, brains and gelatinous Fish gruel patte type stuff, makes me spit up just thinking about it. My meats for the most part must be solid in form. About the only exception to that rule is Wurst's and Sausage. They are delicious and dont smell bad, just dont tell me WTF is in them and wrapped around them or I wont be able to eat them either (Im not naive, Ive seen them made my whole life, I am in total denial of the content, let that stay that way please!!!!!)
