Maybe not all men, just the real kind of men that frequent such a fine forum as this one. I am sure you would understand the frustration most men have when trying to understand women if you tried to understand some of these SNAG's we find living in most urban areas. BTW SNAG= sensitive new age guy. Funny thing happened to me this morning. I was taking my daughter to school and we swung through the local Dunkin Donuts for some Munchkins and a coffee. The drive threw guy (who was very polite) had a bunch of earrings. My daughter (who is 5) asked me why he had all those earrings and why I nor any of her uncles had them. The only thing I could think of was to tell her that her dad and uncles are all old school men that don't wear earrings. We got a little laugh out of it.

No we are not. There are a few simple things that we need to make us happy. Beer, food, women, guns, more beer. I tend to say what I mean and not beat around the bush, I have been called insensitive, not PC (I am actually proud of that) and at times grumpy, but I am fine with it.

Before my wife and I got married, she was visiting some friends out east. The husband was a psychiatrist. She asked him about what guys are thinking, or something like that.
His advice to her. We're really not that interesting. There just really isn't that much going on upstairs. When we say we're not thinking about anything... we mean it.

I overanalyze everything do (or try to do) so I know what you mean, I know how paralyzing it can be. You need to focus the overanalyzing on knowing that you love your wife and child(ren) and will do whatever it takes to protect them and provide the best life possible for them. Especially when you know exactly where you have to start.
