I don't think half the people defending the Mexican Govt. in this post have a freaking clue how things work in Mexico.

This US citizen was arrested while following instructions from US Customs. He was arrested while declaring the weapon to Mexican Customs. He was trying to do the right thing by both countries laws. He got railroaded and half of you are too ignorant to see it.

So once you serve your country you don't have to abide by any other country's rules. What about Bowe Bergdahl. He is still in afhganerstan. He was in the army when he decided to walk off base. The military has turned their back on him.

I used to cross the Border into Baja Mexico at Algodones west of Yuma. It was a nice little Border town to visit and pick up Ky. Bourbon much cheaper than in the U.S.
In recent years things have really changed in Mexico. You as an American are a Prey animal down there. Any time you cross that Border you run a high risk of being arrested or kidnapped.

Or end up in an alley naked after someone sticks a cuchillo between your ribs or across your throat for your shoes and pocket change

I have 2 friends who were locked up and paid big fines to get out of the country. One fellow had a single .22 rimfire Ctg. in a truck map pocket by accident it cost him $10,000 dollars to get out of a Mexican jail. Another fellow was caught with a "C" Press a set of reloading dies and a loading manual. He served 6 Mos. and lost his truck and camper.
As Locutus says stay the Hell out of Mexico.
I dont have any desire to go to mexico, I would rather just vacation at the shooting range.

For the life of me, I do not fathom how you do not comprehend that he was arrested for declaring his gun at Mexican customs, after declaring it to US customs.
I fail to comprehend how you don't understand that his shotgun was 2 inches short.

That's like moving into an old farm house, discovering an old tommy gun in the barn, calling the police to have them come get it, and then being sent to jail for being in possession of a machine gun.

Never mind. Vote Obama, work for the justice department and run guns into Mexico all day long.

I'm done trying to make logic. Apparently I'm no good at it. I'm sure someone on FTF knows what I mean.

It blows me away that Americans will go down there in the first place. Its stupid that he would take his gun down that and create a potential problem. Both of which id never do, in that order.

WITH that being said I think this is bull****, and its wrong on more levels than I can think of. Something needs to be done. That situation is such bull**** it; its enraging.

I have to question things some times my nature. But what are we doing fighting wars across the world when we have Mexico just across the creek. No one any where is doing more damage to this country than the crime ridden outlaw government in Mexico. We are flooded with their crime and their poor. The drugs are killing our young people. The illegals are supporting a socialist change to our system of rules. The most amazing country in history with one language from coast to coast is changing. Will we become Northern Mexico.
