The article stated they dragged it out into a wooded area and dumped it.

I don't agree with that method of "training" an animal but that's just me.
In those days we never bought Milk. When the cow went dry we had powdered milk. As for the cow when she no longer was able to calve we turned her into ground meat. And my Father used a blunt sided ax to dispatch the old girl. Thats the way it was living on a Farm.

Default Just Desserts...........

I think That 5 years is too light a sentence. The ones that are going to suffer is his wife and child. That is subject to change b/c you never know with crazy people. What if he decides to kill people the next time the Saints lose a game! I won't condon what my Father did 50 years ago with the 2x4. The next time you go a Circus stop and think about the animal abuse that brought you all this enjoyment. What the man did was WRONG!!!!!!!

Sorry, Will. I wasn't trying to be judgmental or confrontational, really. I'm a softie when it comes to animals and children, as most of us are. I haven't been to a circus since I was a kid because I know the training techniques are crude, to say the least. I understand the frustration your father must have felt having the milk wasted. When things are tough it's very easy to react in ways not typical of ourselves. And sometimes life in general just beats us down and gets the best of us. I have done a thing or two in my past that when I look back I say to myself "What the hell was I thinking?

Default What a wonderfull World we live in.

No problem here, actually it brings back fond memories of the times I had with my Father, and some that brings to mind all the a$$ whippings I got for not doing my chores/ Back then you were frowned apon if you didn't correct your children with an iron fist!!!! God Bless, Wills
