Man charged with
molesting his dog

A Spotsylvania man was arrested this week on allegations that he sexually abused his family dog.
Robert John Ward, 66, was charged Monday with bestiality after admitting to a family member that he had been "fooling around" with the German shepherd, said 1st Sgt. Liz Scott of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office.
She said the family member took the dog to a veterinarian because it had been "acting funny" for several weeks.
Scott said that, for the first time in the 13 years she'd been with the Sheriff's Office, a PERK kit--a kit usually used to test human sexual-assault victims--was used on a dog.
According to the Virginia State Police sex offender registry, Ward has been registered since July 2005 when he was convicted of three counts each of aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child he was the custodian of.
Those convictions were in Stafford County Circuit Court, and, according to online court records, he was given an active sentence of three years with an additional 15 years suspended.
Ward is currently being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
He was arraigned Tuesday in General District Court and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 7.

What the hell is wrong with people in this world?
What is wrong with people?
Guess he will have to move to San Francisco- where he and the dog will be married in a ceremony at City Hall.
